That means on ESPN. Think it was on NBC or ABC too. Was also for 250k which is over 1/3 of the total amount of prize money for 47 sfv tournaments last year. Then you have the Halo championship for 1 million something sfv won't ever have.

I should also add sfv was on ESPN2 not regular ESPN because it wasn't important enough to be on the main channel like halo was.

I wouldn't equate a large marketing budget to anything more then that what it is.

Remember Homefront Revolution? It had a huge marketing cycle. Multiple ads and TV spots. Ending up being trash.

So just because Halo 5 can afford to have a televised tournament with the highest prize pool just means they had a large marketing budget, nothing more.

Implying that halo 5 only has a big prize pool because of marketing and it's not because of it being a great game is comical. Halo was the FIRST EVER console game included in MLG. It became the standard for competitive fps on consoles and still is to this day the best competitive fps on console out.

Also you don't pay to get on x games. If you guys truly don't know what it is Google x-games has nothing to do with video games until last year when they included halo 5 for the first time.

halo was a big deal when i was in highschool, not so much anymore, i dont see how any1 plays halo in a post destiny/cod world

I equated the prize pool to the marketing budget of the game, and made a point that marketing budget =/= quality. Used Homefront as an example, a bad game with a large marketing budget. Then your response.

@Goobear, I'm not saying the prize pool had nothing to the quality of the game. I'm was just pointing out that the prize pool doesn't necessarily equate to quality.
