would that eat up your data plan at all?
even if you had unlimited they would throttle you after a certain amount.

Yeah, from what I understand, after a line uses 22 gigs they start to throttle you. I've never been on an unlimited plan before, so I have no idea how bad the throttling will be. They say you'll only be throttled if the network is congested, but ya know, cell companies.

So it's a device that uses your mobile plan to create a hot spot? Can't your phone do that?

Yeah, but we got two of these things for free. Figured I'd use one of these pretty heavily and see how bad the throttling is so I don't eat up all my data on my phone lol

My brother use his tmobile mobile hotspot to connect to Xbox liveTo play online with halo4 and bo2
Some games lag, and it takes awhile to find games, but it works ok

Played battlefield 1 and cod mwr yesterday and I had no lag whatsoever. I'm sure it'll be spotty at times though

But really, idk shit about technology lol. Since I live in the country, yet have great cell service, I assume our tower won't really every be overly congested. Do you think even if I go over the 22 gigs I'll have any issues? Probably no way to say for sure.

The issues is DSL and cable require lines to be ran. So if there isn't a high enough demand they won't in your area. But cell phones towers are shared amongst the companies to offer better coverage. Which is why cell service is good but internet sucks.

There is an option of satellite but that requires a clear path. Meaning in stroms and bad weather your internet cuts out. Also it's not as fast as traditional high speed and usually pretty pricey.

You are right though. The only way to tell for sure is use it a lot one month and see how it goes.

We had satellite internet for like a week and it was absolutely terrible haha. Forgot about multiple companies using the same towers. I'll just see how it goes I guess lol

My brothers and I racked up 22 gigs in just over 2 weeks but that was 3 of us constantly using it so good luck bun lmao.
