Get the best buy extended warranty on it. I've had mine for a few months and love it. Much better feel then a regular controller. Paddles come off and it comes with extra sticks. It's also got great grip and the trigger stops are amazing for games that they work for. The controller isn't straight plastic like the regular controllers it has like a rubberish grip all around it. It also comes with a travel case which is pretty nice. Definitely recommend it if you have the extra money to spend. The paddles are amazing and make things so much more convenient. A regular controller feels awkward in my hands now since I believe the elite is slightly beefier. It also comes with a cable so you won't need batteries or a charge kit if you choose as well as the ability to dim the light of the Xbox logo which saves a little bit of battery life if your using batteries.

The best buy extended warranty is amazing and let's you return it for another as long as it's before the 2 years is up and you can just renew it. I only got that warranty because you never know something could happen and it's nice to have the protection.

Good controller with a good overall feeling, the back paddles are nice, and make things much more convenient. But the elite controller is a bit poorly designed in the bumpers. The extended warranty is very much recommended.
The Video below gives you an example of the issue, there are some issues when it comes to getting it replaced, so having the best buy extended warranty is a nice thing to have. Not everyone have experienced this issue, but this is still fairly common.
Best buy does seem very good about their warranty, The video below shows you the general idea where the bumpers break, and how simple it is to replace if you don't have a warranty with best buy, and/or microsoft isn't assisting you with any customer support.

Yeah I have returned alot of stuff that broke or was just old with the extended warranty from best buy and they never asked any questions and just told me to grab another of the same product to exchange it with. I knew I would be using the hell out of this controller and definitely don't want to have to re buy a new one because this one broke for some odd reason. Thankfully I haven't had any issues with mine but have only had it a few months and is still just like it was out of the box.

I thought it had a rechargeable battery included... for $150 bucks it should have. Already don't want it just due to the fact I still have to buy batteries or a recharge kit -,- Rather get a normal controller and a couple more games while they're all on sale.

It comes with a USB cable that's like 9 or 10 feet. Just plug it into anything to give it power and then you don't need batteries. I'm not sure why you expected it to come with a rechargeable battery it straight up says what it comes with if you even took the time to see what you were paying for.

Because I've has a PS4 since the day it came out and having to buy batteries for controllers is something I expect from Nintendo. I can buy a Vita for the price of the Elite controller. I'll stick with the normal one and buy the plug n play pack and save half my money.

There are pros and cons too both.
Rechargeable you obviously don't have to buy batteries but when a charge runs out you have to charge it, no quick swap of batteries. Or if you are like me have one charged and ready to go you get a cold controller.

Elite controller is so much more convenient. You can save profiles for different games and can have 2 saved on the controller the rest will be on the Xbox which takes like less then a minute to switch them. It comes with 3 sets of sticks that you can swap out in seconds. Same with the road it comes with an extra one and they all just attach by magnets. The paddles are also in a much better position on the elite controller then the scuff. As for the trigger stops hi just flip a switch on the back of each controller to enable them without needing any tools or anything. Button mapping is faster on the elite as well. It would actually be more expensive to buy a scuff to get the same customization options as the elite has.

Got my controller and packages day before yesterday. The controller had a piece rattling in it before I even opened it. It was the right bumper lol. Felt like the spring or whatever had snapped. Took it back and bought another normal controller + remote + play n charge kit and had 50 bucks to spare. Will figure out the elite controller later once I get used to the normal one :P
