I've put like 500 hours into it since I've owned it (back when it was like alpha 7 or some shit) between playing pvp servers (the pvp is pretty shit tho tbh) and just playing on my own server with friends, but i like games like this.

The beginning is by far the funnest part, but even then it still ain't that hard. You'll spend a ton of time walking around doing fuck-all because the distance in between settlements is obnoxious. And even when you find a place that can have good things you'll get fucked by lolrng and not even get anything to begin with. Getting any of the really good items like Auger \ Chainsaw \ AK47 \ Sniper is shit because of how rare the parts are.

Night is boring because trying to kill running zombies is incredibly aids and you die fast as fuck, so you just have to hold up in a house for like 20 minutes (assuming default day settings 50 minutes, 6 hours night). Most of my friends just play another game when its night because you literally have nothing to do. And then unless its day 5-6 there'll hardly be any zombies that attack you while you're waiting the night out so it ain't like there's much to do, and even if they do come, it's VERY easy to just wait it out anyway.

Night 7s are basically the only fun time because an actual horde comes to kill you, but it's still not really challenging. After the first few Night 7s you should good guns and shit and it's not much of a challenge anymore, if anything its tedious because they just send 'feral' zombies at you which their only difficulty is the fact that they have a retarded amount of health and it'll take 30 shotgun shells to the head to kill them. It only gets tedious because of how much mining and shit you have to do to create enough ammo to survive the Night 7 horde.

The game is alpha, and its pretty disgusting that they ported an alpha game to console, but i spent like $15 on it for the pc version, but for that much i'd say i got quite a lot out of it

TLDR: Go watch one video of gameplay and you'll instantly know if you're going to like it or hate it
