Halo fucking sucks. And no1 cares about American sales. It's world wide sales or nothing. If you only care about US sales, you are ignorant.

Fuck the order 1886 or 1866 whatever
Fuck bloodbourne

And I'll also bet Uncharted 4 outsells Halo by far

I don't work for Microsoft or Sony so I don't really care about any sales like you guys seem to.I care about games sales because those mean something to me as a gamer. If a game I like doesn't sell well, its not going to get another sequel(usually).

I do know however that Microsofts main concern is the U.S. and it has been that way since the original Xbox. Not to say they don't care about the rest of the world, but the US is there main focus.

you mean microsofts biggest franchise thats crossed 3 generations can out sell a medicore new ip and a 90+ new IP, i bet gran turismo or uncharted will outsell halo due 2 MASSIVE install base on ps4

I said it would outsell both franchises in 1 week, obviously it will outsell both of those franchises as they are new IP's and not really that big. I would also argue that Microsoft owns two iconic, legondary franchises where there isn't a single one on playstation. This was brought up on a playstation podcast on ign last week.Halo and Gears are iconic, multi billion dollar brands that are rare in entertainment not just in gaming. PlayStation has some great games, games I would love to have on Xbox, but nothing that is iconic. I'm sorry but Uncharted isn't iconic,God Of War isn't iconic. Great games....that's where the comparisons end.

And having said all of that,i don't even think Halo or Gears are all that amazing but you cant deny the importance they have in the entertainment world

I don't think you understand what im saying.Gears and Halo are iconic, its more then just video games sales. Is Star Wars JUST a movie?Nope its so iconic that it has a billion dollar sales in toys, video games, movies, fan expos etc etc.Halo and gears have toys, comics, books, fan expos,cosplay,clothing...you name it they have it. That's what iconic brands are,its much more about just sales on a video game, which of course is important as well.

Uncharted,TLOU,Gran Turismo etc etc just aren't on that level. Sure they might sell more video games, and they might be highly rated and great games but aint no body checking for Uncharted or any other game on such a massive scale like Gears or Halo is. That 12 year old kid who worships Darth Vader or Master Chief or Dom are not really going to toys r us for a Nathan Drake action figure or dying to get there hands on the next TLOU comic.

That's where your wrong as every console/company is reliant on a select few IP's. Sony relies on third party,Uncharted,Gran Turismo and God Of War. Xbox relies on third party,Halo, Gears and Forza. And I guess slightly Fable though its not a huge franchise. Everything else that comes out from either company is cool, but they don't rely on them. Do you really think Bloodborne was a big huge game that playstation is pumped for? It sold decently but by no means is it a huge game that they can count on to move massive hardware. Same with the order and Little Big Planet and any other exclusive they have. Time will tell with TLOU,it was a fantastic game but is it a system seller? Just like Xbox has its Crackdown and Sunset Overdrive and the rest of its exclusives. Are they nice additions to there "roster"? sure, but they don't depend on them to move hardware. In my opinion this is all irrelevant as probably 80-85% of consoles are bought for the multi platform games and who has friends on what systems to play with.

And like I said its almost all driven by third party games and who's friends have what. The playstation 2 got off to a big lead as it came out well before the Xbox and almost everyone bought one because 10 of there friends had a playstation and they wanted to play with there friends. The 360 came out well before the PS3 and most people bought it cause it was the new console,so most people bought it because all their friends had it. Be real here, did you buy a PS2/3/4 because you just HAD to play Gran Turismo or Uncharted or whatever,or did you buy it because Billy down the street and your 5 school friends had one?

Dreamcast failed miserably and you didn't answer my question lol,why did you buy a playstation. Was it a specific game you just HAD to play,or were all your buddies on that system
