The point was made earlier that's its fine because they got what they paid for. But, to me an analogy would be if I you came to a fence with a gate. There was a person standing in the gate blocking your way and the only way forward is to pay them to move. So you do so only to get to the other side of the gate to realize you could have just walked around. The person didn't lie, you got what you paid for which was the ability to walk through the gate. But it was still dishonest. All in my opinion.
