Squares stock at the time was really bad, maybe MS made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

I'm personally okay with it. This was never a game I was going to play day one anyways.

Yeah, I pretty much refuse to pay $60 for a game unless it's something really special (Fallout 4!). I generally try to clean up on Black Friday/Cyber Monday and random sales either on the Digital Marketplace or wherever I can find them.

I didn't get the TR reboot until it was $20 for the Definitive Edition.
