Depends. They run AV, game, and power checks on all console trade ins. If it fails any of those or runs too slow they'll say no.
If you are missing any original cables or controllers, they'll say no.
If you are missing the original boxing and instructions, they'll give you less.
If you are trading in towards another identical version, they may just say no outright because that's fishy.

They don't reduce for boxing/instructions, they don't refuse because of cables/controllers missing, they make you pay for the replacement out of the credit you would have gotten.

/e also they wont refuse it if you go for the same model, as long as it works, youre forgetting they are profiting off the sale.
