i think destiny will be especially good for playstation players who aren't able to enjoy the halo games.
kind of a nice substitute to fill that void.

Games are literally nothing alike. Destiny is most similar to borderlands which is multiplat

Not really. Other than the fact that they both have guns and both have space travel from future earth, they are completely different. By this estimation, every shooter with space travel is the same as halo....

Destiny is fantasy blended sci-fi, "open world" mmo.

Halo is military sci-fi FPS

Just because games have a few similar themes doesn't mean they are anything alike. Take Mass Effect and Halo. Both military sci-fi shooters. Obviously ME has RPG roots and until the final game no multiplayer. But it had all of the things mentioned above. Does that make ME like Halo? No and no one would ever argue that it did. No one would ever compare those two series because they are literally nothing alike.

Having the same developer does not mean you get the same product. Most of the Halo people stayed on with 343.
