You could make a valid arguement for and against dark souls 2 being an MMO

It's a massively multiplayer online game, which is the literal definition of MMO, BUT.....nobody can interact with npc's in your world except you....idk, brain crash

That would mean Fable 2 and 3 are an MMO, and those definitely are not an MMO... Seeing as how Dark Souls 2 is only up to 4 players, means it's not an MMO. An MMO would be a game where everyone is on the same server/game/world and can interact with them. Since you can't do that, then it's not an MMO. But I guess everyone has their own opinion.......

That's where I'm saying you could argue both ways.

I can say it's the definition of MMO by wording,

it's massive

it's multiplayer

and it's online

Multiple people on multiple servers like any other MMO.

Interaction with these people through blood stains/signs/phantoms.

Constant visualization of other players around you.

You mean OPTIONAL Online :) Massive in the sense that the world is large, sure, but not massive in the sense that there are hundreds/thousands of people running around that you can see (and those random ghosts you see don't count lol).

Multiple servers, try a server for every player, not really counts as MMO type servers. Bloodstains and Signs don't really count because they aren't players that are physically in your game/server. Constant visualization of other players... Seriously, seeing 1 random person for 2 seconds, doesn't count as making a game an MMO. Maybe you think it does, but as I said in my opinion, it doesn't. Plus since this game has Offline Mode, it can't be a Massive Multiplayer ONLINE game...
