Cable company don't use 4k yet, and uhd movies are way overpriced

I'll be buying a 4k TV next year, probably around black Friday, in time for scorpio.

I can see a difference between a good 1080p setup and a good 4k setup, and the content available for 4k will most likely explode over the next 6 months. Netflix is already ramping this up, Amazon and Hulu will most likely follow, as will cable and ultimately YouTube as more people adapt.

There was a time where people saw no real need for 1080p where 720p looked close, and also people thought adding a camera to cell phones would never catch on.

Only really makes a noticeable difference at 50+. Sonys comment that they've done basically all they can in the 1080p space was a bit of a fallacy. Once Madden looks actually close to realism we'll know they're at the limit.

Probably won't happen for some years to come given current processing and graphical capabilities.
