so since i yesterday bought my first ever xbox it came with gears ultimate and i have never played a gears game before what kinda game is it?

3rd person shooter. I usually hate 3rd person shooters but they're all pretty solid games.

is the ultimate collection all the older games?

ahh ok thats the xbox bundle i got was $350 i got the gears bundle a free digital copy of rise of the tomb raider and got a $50 gamestop card all for the $350

If you never played gears before, multiplayer has a learning curve IMO. I don't know of another game to compare it to that has the same playstyle. Hmu if you wanna play tho, I recently acquired the game too

If you had it before a certain period, they gave us all the previous Gears for free through backwards compatibility.

Not sure that's the case now though.

this is my first ever xbox I've owned fiance decided to get it since I already had a ps4 so I can now take advantage of the exclusives

if you really want, you can grab gears of war 2 for free through backwards compatibility.

just go to xbox.com and search for it in the store before march 1st i believe

Try and find someone to play with. Gears has done if the best drop in and out co-op I've ever played.
