They got to think not only are they removing the cost to make the case, disk, and manual, but are sealing the deal about re-selling.

If you buy digital you aren't going to be trading that game into gamestop in a month for some other guy to buy and in turn remove the profit from your company by putting it in the hands of a 3rd party netting you no income.
