For people who have been to tokyo... Going to tokyo in a couple months, trying to figure out how much everyday things cost.... mostly food.

Like how much is a meal from a fast food restaurant, etc. in yen or usd or whatever, I can covert it

depends what you eat. if something like mcdonalds, maybe 500-600 yen
i went to a place called オリギン弁当 where you just order a bento for lunch/dinner for 400-700 yen
can also buy musubi from donki for less than 100 yen

oh cool, I was under the impression that stores like this were really rare in tokyo. Do they carry groceries too?

yea, the one that i went to did. dont expect really fresh meats and stuff if you want to cook, for those you probably want to go to a supermarket or something around where youre staying. otherwise they carry things like chips/drinks/etc, even beer/wine/hard alcohol

i went to this one place that had all you can eat for a week for just over 9000 yen

Oh yea I've been there, its pretty good. That's only a special deal though, you have to go in and say "Vegeta, whats the scouter say about his power level?"

oh and compared to the US, liquor is really cheap
sometimes id get stuff thats over 1/2 the price compared to what i get here
