how long will it take to learn japanese from zero?

If you aren't fluent in Japanese and you want to start learning it is a never ending process.

You will always learn more and more and you will NEVER know it all.

but to learn the basic Hiragana, Katakana, and some Kanji it takes months
depending on how well you absorb the information.

but to learn a vast amount of Japanese will take years.
