how often does someone fail to learn Kanji in japan, and so, because of that, become omitted from the general life of being a japanese citizen.

lol. ppl here learn kanji since elementary or even kindergarten its like ''alphabet'' so its like im sayin how often americans fail to learn alphabet lol
i dun think ppl fail hard to learn.. yeh sure there is alot of kanji thats hard.. like 髑髏　this means skull by the way lol anyway japanese dunt know all kanjis like u dunt know all the SAT vocabs..

Unless you are severly retarded or don't go to school I'm pretty sure it's not possible to not learn kanji.

okay that makes sense.

So is kanji in a sense like grammar in the US? Because we have different formats saying which grammar is right, which is wrong.

I.E. some colleges only accept APA grammar and style, while MLA is only accepted at others.
