but ive been wanting to learn japanese for awhile too

only know a few words/phrases from watching anime / hard gay etc

hard gay is just too funny

but if your willing to help, i'd appreciate it

There are 3 japanese alphabets.
Hiragana
Katakana
Kanji

I would start with memorizing the letters of Hiragana/Katakana.
