Irrelevant.

No, it isn't normal to be one of them. People's opinion of you will be lower if you are one of those weirdos. You will be treated differently and you will be disliked. Don't delude yourself to think otherwise. Some people won't mind but a lot still will.

We seem to come from a WAY different world..

today it's unnormal to be normal.. at least where I come from.

and it is relevant where you come from.

That is a very naive way of thinking.

12) In Japan, is it everyday news that someone has molesteted children. Or someone has kidnapped, raped and killed.

It happens in all countries.

I've been curious about few things:

1) when someone comes back to home, he sais something like "Akkaida" .. how is it spelled, and what does it mean exactly.

2) when someone sais the thing above, he will propably be answered with: "okkairi" .. (welcome home). How is it spelled, and so-on so-on.

3) Are women in the same level as men in Japan. Are they treated the same way? (at least in anime I usually see how Japanese men hit and yell at women)

4) Is it true that in Japan it is not illegal to touch other people in public (like pulling some girls skirt or something).

5) Is there going to be a law which allows to marry a 2D-charachter in Japan?

6) Do men use bras in Japan?

7) Does most of the schools include sailoruniform or other uniform.

8) When I watch anime, there's usually a charachter which is very "weak" and often gets fever. Do you see this in everyday life? (is there some kind of gene which lowers immunesystem among japanese people)

9) Do you guys have school from monday to saturday, and does it usually ends at 16pm? (when you're 14-17) (if so, you guys are slow to learn..)

10) How many kanji's does a avreage high schooler know ?

11) WHY THE FUCK CAN'T JAPANESE PRONAUNCE FRENCH OR ENGLISH. (I live in Finland and the way to pronaunce Finnish compared to Japan is very same.. but every finnish guy knows how to speak english correctly)

12) In Japan, is it everyday news that someone has molesteted children. Or someone has kidnapped, raped and killed.

13) I don't like raw fish. Could I still enjoy japanese cuisine ?

14) why do you guys live so long.. (the highest avreage lifespan) .. is it because of all the seaweed and fish you eat ?

I would appriciate if someone could answer as many questions as they are capable of.

and it would be easier for me and you if you would point out with a number which question you're answering (common sense though)

Really thanks in advance!! <3 :)

Akkaida?
I've always used "Ta-da-i-ma" in my house, but that's osaka-ben

second part is the same though.

@12

In South Miami, Florida on memorials day, 16 girls were raped and killed, over 50 were reported beaten and raped

4. Yes. Only losers and nerds watch anime in Japan (or at least those are the only ones that talk about it publicly. Similar situation in the U.S. except not nearly as bad as it is in Japan).

3. Welcome to Earth. Women haven't enjoyed the same rights as men did for a LONG time. It is only recently that this has started to change. In Japan the change came along slower.

10. Pretty much.

@ 3. bullshit, here's a quote from henrigoldsberg

Quote
Women should never have been given the vote. Ever since then, they've been so uppity. The fact is, women have always been the ones with power. They can reduce men to mush, to putty, with a wink of an eye and the flash of a tit. And they are gatekeepers of the species. And so men, essentially castrated, claim the body politic—as if governance were the seat of any real power! As if the real power were not buried in the pussy!

But that was not enough for women. They had to have it all—and I mean all. So they take the posture of the victim and wield guilt like a serrated cleaver and hack men to pieces. These uppity twats take the vote; then they take the right to work; then the take the right not to work; then they take the right not to work and not rear the children; and, all along, they've had the right not to fuck. They leave men with nothing—no time, no peace, no sex, no soul, no vitality. Jesus fucking christ: we even have to help them birth, tending to their every need while their pussies are torn asunder. No man should ever have to witness that. But women have disposed of the waiting room where expectant fathers used to wait, nervously smoking cigars with their friends. They are no more. Women have ensured that men have to suffer alongside them.

Burroughs was right: women are vampires.

I wish men had that power.

Google "women discrimination" or something.

Quote

Challenges for women begin in childhood. Young girls may be brought up to believe that they are only suited for certain professions or, in some cases, only to serve as wives and mothers.

Gender lines are drawn early, and exclusions for women continue throughout adulthood. These constant messages may lead to a false belief that women do not belong in the high-powered corporate world.

Elementary School

Studies show that teachers still give more time and attention in math and science to boys, while giving more to girls in language arts. Since math and science are vital skills for many male-dominated professions, like medicine, engineering, and architecture, does this encourage little girls to focus on other areas of learning? The divergence in academic path girls and boys choose after elementary would seem to indicate, yes.

Middle and High School Years

In middle and high school, girls are more likely than boys to be discouraged from participating in sports, and clubs like debate, math, and science. But girls are more likely to be encouraged to participate in after school volunteer work, social programs, and more passive activities.

College Years

After childhood, young women are often encouraged, or even pressured, into pursuing education in more stereotypical female-oriented professions, like teaching, nursing, care giving, retail, and office administration.

Women are now earning more degrees than men at every level, and with higher grades and honors. But women starting their own businesses are less likely to have a college degree in their specific industry, or first-profession degree, than are male entrepreneurs. They are also less likely to get a job in a Ph.D.-related field.
Statistics Show Trends Haven’t Changed Much, Yet

More women are starting businesses than men, more women are in the workforce than men, and the majority of degree-holders are now women. Yet, according to the Department of Labor 2007 statistics, women are still only dominating fields and industries that are often seen as “female.”

According to CNN Money, in 2006, there were only 10 women running Fortune 500 companies, and only 20 in the top 1,000. But it’s a start.

I think I am correct. Just because youdon't see this it doesn't mean such viewpoints are non-existant or rare. People will generally keep quiet and just ignore groups they don't like or simply tolerate them for the sake of keeping order or whatever. When the time it actually matters comes these negatively viewed groups will get the short end of the stick.
