your question is based on wrong understandings.
what you want is more like "implications" than "meanings" which dictionaries can cover.
(that's why u can never find by searching
)
and those implications are mostly derived from ancient chinese letters, with their myths or historical events.
for example, 鯉(koi, means carp) itself doesnt have a "meaning" of luck in japanese.
but it has a chinese myth (carp has succeeded to climb up waterfall then become dragon - an implication of success) and a japanese event related with it, called koinobori.

its a big time job for dictionary editors.
be more specific to list the small number of words u really want to know, or nobody would give a shit to this topic.
