Alright, so I'm planning on getting a tattoo on my arm soon of my daughters name. Right below it, I plan on putting a the Japanese Symbol that I found, or Kanji I think it's referred as, that means Life. In the symbol, you're to put the persons name in the bottom left, but the example I found already has a name in it. I can't seem to find out what my Daughters name would be translated into one of these symbols.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find the proper symbol to place in this, it belongs right above where the red seal is. I have searched around on the site that I found the image from, but can't find a straight answer.

The name I'm looking for is Brooklynn, anyone have any knowledge into this that might help me?

the smaller black character means "pure"

As stated, you can't really write Brooklyn in kanji. I would recommend picking out a Japanese name that fits your daughter.

Hmm, alright. They had a translation from English to something else on the site as well where I had actually found the name, it was just extremely long. Any chance you might have a list of characters and their meanings?

Also, if I were to just remove where the name belongs, would it still mean "Life", trying to get the best input before I go get something incorrect on my skin.

so u might wanna start there... my suggestion is 細流 or 川 but the latter means river in English and sounds boring to me...

細流　pronounced "sai-ryuu" means "small flow[of water]" or something like that.

if ur tattoo artist is good enough to put those two characters in your skin, i suggest u use that.. other than that im not sure what ur luking for

like some ppl search for single word or kanji and simply connect each kanji, and make their own japanese words, which most of them doesnt even make sense...

why do foreigners love to tattoo japanese letter anyway.. why dun they juss do 和彫り（japanese traditional tattoo)
like if u want brooklyn ok means small flow of water, river, u symbolize that with picture maybe not "word"...

lol well he first needs to understand that putting ブルックリン into kanji is nearly impossible
