I'd love to learn korean.
not because of k pop not because of oppa gangnam i want to learn it because i appreciate the language's uniqueness. I know very common phrases like

ye
ani-yo
and some others; but i'd like to know what i can do to actually learn to speak the language.. i'm really good at languages and pronounciation the only issue is finding a source, i speak spanish english and enough french to understand
and i really want to learn korean because i want to go on a trip to korea to experience the area.

college classes? or try rosetta stone. my brother in law uses it and his korean imporved drastically

i considered investing in it but i thought it might be a sham.

Its an easy language to learn, hard language to master
6~ months of dedication and you should be able to communicate at a low level without any problem
A friend of mine has been studying Korean for about 2 1/2 years now and she can communicate with me in Korean minus a few technicalities here and there

There are a lot of slang, informal terms and idioms used in the Korean language that makes it really hard to master
