Definitely worth it, it is our land.

It gives us control over the East Sea, pushing Japanese naval/air threats further away from us.
Also the control over the sea also leads to control over the resources within the area.

Exactly, Japan is playing a game of Monopoly over Dokdo which rightfully belong to Korea since prehistoric times and still inhabited by people of Korea. I never really got this. These rocks are (according to wiki), Korean territory. So what's the whole problem? Why don't Koreans just take the resources and give the island to Japan when they're done with it or something. They island must legitimately be property of some country, so why don't the owners just consider it theirs, which it is, and do whatever they want with it?
