In this letter I'm going to discuss ruffianism. I'm going to delve into great detail about Jce's vindictive op-ed pieces. I'm going to talk at length about how Jce has been discouraging us from expressing our theatrics in whatever way we damn well please. In short, this is not a letter for children or the overly sensitive. First off, his screeds are an icon for the deterioration of the city, for its slow slide into crime, malaise, and filth.
We are observing the change in our society's philosophy and values from freedom and justice to corruption, decay, cynicism, and injustice. All of these "values" are artistically incorporated in one person: Jce. You may balk at this, but he uses obscure words like "microcinematographic" and "philosophicojuristic" to conceal his agenda to lash out at everyone and everything in sight. I find that having to process phrases with long words like those makes me feel hoodwinked, inferior, definitely frustrated, and angry. That's why I strive for utmost clarity whenever I explain to others that Jce's artifices are propaganda to the point of comedy and are so easily refuted as to render them useless even as such. But what, you may ask, does any of that have to do with the theme of this letter, viz., that I lost all respect for him when I heard that he plans to hinder economic growth and job creation? No, don't guess; this isn't audience participation day. I'll just tell you. But before I do, you should note that if the only way to make pretentiousness unfashionable is for me to leave the country, then so be it. It would undeniably be worth it because if Jce gets his way, we will soon be engulfed in a Dark Age of misoneism and indescribable horror. That's why I'm telling you that hedonism is a plague upon us all, a pox that will likely not be erased in the lifetime of any reader of this letter. To Jce, however, it's merely a convenient mechanism for creating widespread psychological suffering.
One thing is certain: Sometimes, what you don't know can hurt you. But there's the rub; Jce is entirely versipellous. When he's among plebeians, Jce warms the cockles of their hearts by remonstrating against cynicism. But when Jce is safely surrounded by his spin doctors, he instructs them to keep a close eye on those who look like they might think an unapproved thought. That type of cunning two-sidedness tells us that there's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. There's a time to love and a time to hate. There's a time for war and a time for peace. And, I feel, there's a time to show principle, gumption, verve, and nerve. Or, to put it less poetically, this is kind of a touchy subject to some people. More than that, I never intend to offend anyone, Jce included. Alas, the following statement may upset a few people: An accurate description of Jce calls into requisition a larger number of uncomplimentary terms than are necessary to be used in describing any other creature out of Tophet. Some people squirm a bit when they they read things like that, but such statements are the key to explaining why Jce insists that people find his unrelenting, over-the-top hostility rather refreshing. This is a rather strong notion from someone who knows so little about the subject. Jce's harangues are a quick-fix detour, a placebo aimed at surface symptoms, and an excuse to draw unsuspecting misers into the orbit of savage fiends. There; my ranting is finished.
