If you want to shop to transition right into Gangnam style, just hit up Dongdaemun, get some white shorts and a pink button up shirt, roll up the sleeves, put some sunglasses on and get white loafers, ALL SET.

Money wasn't an issue for me in Korea, but yes any luxuries (Koreans define luxury as anything that isn't soju/dambae/basic foods) tend to be a tad more expensive.
