Don't talk nonsense. Reunification means South Korea will get crippled economically for the next 50 something years. It's bad enough as it is with an unstable government.

South Korea would not be crippled for 50 years. Korea would have economically problems but, I think once united we will have more resources/land to become even stronger. A united Korea will definitely be stronger than half and half.

Reunification definitely has it's short term disadvantage for S. Korea but it's must to expand global economics in the future. I thought Korean-American would be less narrow minded than native Koreans..

You must be retarded or just love talking out of the ass.
West Germany had one of the greatest economies in the world and took a HUGE blow just to balance themselves with their Eastern counterpart.
Its been over 20 years since their reunification and the difference in their economy was only a 7:1 ratio, while South Korea has a much weaker economy than West Germany did for starters and the economic difference is much greater.
Therefore it'll be a harder and longer process for South Korea to balance themselves out with North Korea.

It will NOT be a "short term" disadvantage. North Korea has absolutely no resources that can be beneficial to the South.

What you have said is true. East Germany economically was not too behind that of their counterpart as North Korea is. Yes North Korea is basically in the stone age compared to the whole world. But again South Korea has grown to one of the top economies in the world under 50 years after the Korean war. When South Korea at the time was way behind in infrastructure, tech, etc. But I think now that South Korea is more established and in way better shape than West Germany was in 1989. Basically I doubt it would take 50 years. But maybe at least 10-20 years to get North Korea up to par to South Korea in infrastructure, maybe less depending on how South Korean people/Government handle the situation. You have to remember West Germans had their suspicions about East Germans still after the fall of the wall. Also a lot of East Germans did not want to change their life style. ( I study/learned German in High school and college. I have talked to actually Germans and people who have visited/studied in Germany.)

You don't deserve to be a Korean...
Just because you think it might bring economic disadvantage, you don't want Korea to be united..
Think about the people suffering under crazy oppression
think about the families broken

South Korea has developed into one of the top economies with the greatest economic growth in a very very short span.
That was under President Park, a dictator leader and the greatest president we have ever had, and he suppressed many parties to force his will upon the country and this is something we won't be able to witness again.
Its still a much weaker economy than West Germany, don't even try to argue this its not going to work, and the gap much greater than the Germans.
Reunification will not benefit South Korea at all.

You don't deserve to express your thought in public if you're so narrow minded, its embarrassing.
I think about the 50 million people of South Korea facing unnecessary suffering to pull the weight of our "family up north".
I do not give a fuck about the 24 million people suffering under crazy oppression, if you're not retarded then you must know that 50 million is a greater number than 24 million.

And when you learn to think beyond the surface level like a normal human being, I will let you know about this.
The day Korea unifies and start crippling down as a First World Nation, Japan will pull all their shit out of their ass to fully claim Dok-do and the East Sea.
