over 10 years ago a japanese or chinese man (don't rember, i was a child) paints me this:



1) It's chinese or Japanese
2) What he wrote? He said me it was my name PAOLO. It's correct?

2) It's not correct, Paolo=保罗

something which pronounces the same as paolo, but the official translation 保罗

non mandarin speakers don't always use the same official phonetic writing of foreign names.
especially those of singaporean/malaysian origin

/E but yes that is a pretty unusual way of writing paolo, never seen it before.

True, PPC mainland, HK and ROC don't use always the same official phonetic writing of foreign names.
