i can hardly write it now cuz i was only in china til i was 11, almost 18 now.. so almost 7 years in the US..
i can type/speak/read chinese perfectly tho

chinese is very very difficult and very very different from all latin language.

latin languae based on SOUND. that's mean when u speak it out, u know the meanning.


but CHINESE is half SOUND, half FORM.

every FORM( character total for about 6000, normally use about 3000 character) have 1+ sound.

every sound have at least 5 tone.

maybe u sound correctlly but tone . other can NOT get u ....

that's why it's very difficult.

BUT.....................because chinese is based on HALF form. u can easilly got a main meanning of Article by just have a glance of it.

THAT's AMAZING for speed reading ....

If you decide to learn, learn traditional instead of simplified. Sure, it's harder but it will pay off better.

In traditional, the way every word is written is MUCH more logical than simplified. Simplified just seems a bunch of random strokes to me...
