A friend recently got a tattoo with a chinese sign/letter/symbol (how original huh? :P) and he suspects it MIGHT be the wrong sign/letter/symbol.

so if anyone knows Chinese it would be awsome! (I am not sure if it is traditional or simplified/modern).

我很奇怪，一般中国人纹身不会纹这个字，倒是老外身上经常见到这个字，估计是同一个纹身师推荐的，不管是中国人还是老外，这个字单独出现，太难理解他的含义了。我在某个NBA球员身上也见过这个字，当时我这个中国人还一下子没想通。不过如果能够用一个字表达那么丰富的含义，估计还比较难找到。孚 通常做信任解释，纹身就要纹两个字，呵呵。

如果纹身要表达真理（truth/true ），那不应该是孚，应该是道字，中国人说道，天道，道理，比较接近真理的意思。不过和外国人的真理有点不同，道的意思是宇宙的本原和普遍规律，宇宙的真理，而不是某个神或者耶稣的教义，不过你要理解为那样的真理也可以，耶稣即宇宙，呵呵。道可道，非常道，呵呵，怎么和外国人解释中国的古代哲学思想呢。
