New to Barb, if there is a guide available I should read, could someone link it?

Been told Obsidian Gladius and Steam Saws are the weapons to look for, Gladii for sustained DPS, SSaws for crazy hawks.

I farmed a few Gladii on Insane HC, but I am having trouble deciding what is poor vs average vs exceptional vs endgame? Specially I was wondering about the following stats:

Base Damage? poor / avg / excep / endgame?
Upgrades?
Do I need to consider secondary stats? If yes... which / how much? Not even sure what to ask on this.

Is it ultimate quality? (go to item info and see if it says Mythical, trans, supreme, ultimate) if it doesn't say ultimate it isn't end-game.

If its Trans or above it has a possibility of being a good one even if not great.

I don't have a barb, so I won't comment further on the stats. and Frost Blades need to be considered as weapons too.

gladius have higher attack speed and dps by just autoing, but steam has way more hawk dmg which is more burst, so each has their moments
I do about 111mil with glad on hawk, 70m normal; 211mil saws and 50m normal autos
for saws go for 130k+, glads go for 65k+

Frost blades are pretty terribad. :/ For the uninitiated, frosties or the Blades of the North reward weapons were the top choice a while back because of their fast swing speed but gets terrible damage per upgrade. I picked up a high stated 395^ ultimate for like 2billion. It's just not worth anything. Still sort of fun to mess around on a blood raging squire since it's not like you'll do any damage anyways.

In terms of stats for barbs, you want Hero Damage, Hawk/Skill2, Hero HP, Turtle/Siphon (Tower Rate/Tower HP) in that order. Mostly you want Hero Damage and Skill2. Turtle and Siphon just needs to be not 0. Also, a lot of people like to hotkey siphon onto the Heal key.

The E-spear is supposedly "significantly" (in quotes) better than the gladius, but there's very few good legitimate ones around compared to the others and you can't get gladius's leet 500+ stats across the board. I heard the stats are capped at 300 for the CD reward weapons.

if by espear you mean esword there isnt that much of a difference
obsidian has better scaling because of hero damage, so if you have higher hero dmg a glad might be better, saws have the highest hawk and burst, eswords only do dmg because of extra missiles, but honestly, go with 150k saws, you're going to want that burts especially when fighting bosses
