So with the nerf to app towers, I was curious to see what the best anti-ogre tower would be now. Since I don't have access to excel, I'll do a table of sorts. If someone wants to be awesome, put these into excel, screenshot it and post it.
Assumptions/Givens:
1) The tower damage is the damage listed in the tavern.
2) The tower attack speed was taken from the tower display screen. I am aware that those attack speeds are incorrect. I am able to back calculate app and squire tower atk speed using the dummies, but I do not have a stop watch to check aura or mine attack speeds in an actual game. Thus, I am assuming the difference between listed and real atk speed is the same for all towers. If this is not true, this analysis is void.
3) All towers were created with character stats of 1654 tower dmg, 972 tower speed, and were upgraded to 3 stars in the tavern.
4) Confirmed that all of these towers can be affected by apprentice and huntress guardian. Assumed that app/hunt guardian combo boosts the dps of all towers equally.
5) Inferno trap is not included because it is not affected by huntress guardian and therefore assumed to be MUCH lower dps per DU.
6) All Tower damage was taken while the builder was still the active hero.
7) DPS is calculated dps from Dmg / Speed. Dps in parentheses is the dps on the dummy in the tavern (not available for traps or auras).

Conclusions:
Given the ** discrepancy (see Notes below), Bowlers end up being the highest dps per du. Quite a shock to me! Harpoon and fireballs take the next closest spot, very interesting.
Notes:
*Proximity Mine is kind of odd. The damage goes down the further away from the center of the mine, so its dmg won't always be maxmized.
**I don't believe the calculated dps for magic missile is anywhere near correct, as the dummy dps much lower. @ 27k dps, it comes out to 9k dps per du.
***The spinner analysis is odd for some reason, as its dummy dps is comparable to other towers, but the calculated dps is terrible. I believe this is because it actually hits twice per attack; the dps per du in parentheses reflects calculated dps per du multiplied by 2.
Interesting how high proximity mine is, but if you've ever seen a proximity mine enhanced by a huntress guardian, that is a damned lot of charges. Furthermore, who would want to stand next outside your app walls to boost the mine with guardians...
Sadly, this didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, as even I have a lot of doubt in the numbers. I hope Jeremy corrects the poor display of tower properties and allows mines and auras to do damage to the target dummies.
