So I just came back, last time I played was when max armor upgrades were ^20 and the halloween patch was still out\free.

Whenever I try to make private games\host games it says "Game cannot be created."

Any ideas on why this is\how to fix it? I can still join custom games.

Having the same problem on my school's network.. I think it has something to do with a firewall on the network where some ports are closed that need to be open for you to be able to create a game.

Try opening these ports on your router/firewall:

tcp
27014-27050

udp
4380, 27000-27030

I have to do this crap at least 3 times a day lol...

Your files are corrupted...happens all the time

Go to steam game list > DD > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity

Restart your PC after you DL new files (takes a second) If I don't restart it still doesn't fix the problem.

I had the same problem where I could only join games but not host them.
I did 3 things at once that solved the problem, don't know if any one will do the trick or if you need them all or whatever will even work for you.

But here is what I did:

(1) Disable or Uninstall private networking / tunneling programs (Hamachi, Comodo, etc. etc...). If you don't know what these are you probably don't have it.
(2) Tinker with my firewall Program Control and explicitly Allow all communications from all the *.EXE files in the Dungeon Defenders folder. I have Norton which blocks a lot of stuff by default. There is more than one executable in there.
(3) Steam -> Library -> Dungeon Defenders -> Right Click -> Properties -> General tab -> Set Launch Options... -> write "-tcp" into the line, without the quotations of course -> click OK

The first and third I got from looking around the web, the second one I just know because I have to mess around with it quite often. Norton is pretty good at keeping my computer safe but it also blocks a lot of good/legit stuff.
