[Uprising]

About us

We are a new PC-based Dungeon Defenders clan that began in December 2011 and are striving to be competitive in both PvE co-op and eventually PvP.

Our planned playing schedule is still to be determined but I'm currently looking at up to four nights a week, 10-12 hours a week on average. This may change depending on the content and availability of core members. We welcome players of all geographical ranges, but times will be EST (GMT-5) based. During progression, we will be aiming towards advancing on the leaderboards. We will never schedule anything on Fridays or Saturdays.

About you

I am looking for exceptional players, who are mature, highly competitive, and analytical in their approach to the game, while at the same time remaining humble and patient. Primadonnas, drama-mongers, forum trolls and flamers need not apply. I am looking for players who learn quickly, do not make the same mistake twice, multitask well, are attentive to their surroundings, and are able to quickly grasp the bigger picture of a given encounter, rather than just their class-specific narrow role.

While people who enjoy PvP, as do most of us, are more than welcome, PvE progression should be your priority when it comes down to it. It should be what you build your character around, and the deciding factor in choices you make regarding gear and build.

You should enjoy the game as a whole (jaded veterans are welcome, though), and plan to continue playing for some time to come. You should also be a good social fit. If you're an active member of these forums, that's a good start.

You must be an intelligent human being, and you must be able to express yourself in a way that does not belie your intelligence. I don't care if you are God's gift to gaming -- if your ordinary communication consists of "culd u hlp plz?? thx" stay far away.

You must be willing to learn; we understand we don't know all the best strategies or tower placements, but we have beaten all the insane maps and are looking to hold the top scores on the leaderboards.

You must be a legit player, no hacking or cheating of any kind. No exceptions.

In-game Info:Where to start... I'm 25 years old, I had 2 computers and a gaming console at home when I was 3 years old. I played a lot of different games over the years. My overall favorite game of all time is Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos, where I was very competitive in the ladder scene (top 5 solo a few times, Azeroth realm). I did a lot of custom 1v1 for fun, but never got into real tournaments (they didnt really exist where I live :S). Played probably 5k warcraft 3 games. I played D2 a WHOLE lot also, guildwars a little (started playing when the game died). WoW, when it got boring (so I stopped), LOADS of console games of all types. I still have 5 different consoles connected/working on my TV right now. I now play DD, Starcraft 2 sometimes. I could go on ..>_>

What is your level and character class?Got 2 70s of each class, 1 build and 1 DPS, most have 500-600 in there main stats, but havent been looking for more items because of nightmare.
What is your gear situation: Can easily Solo UMF insane with an AFKER, got a build of each type ready to go
Thoughts on pve: Its fun if trendy doesnt mess up the scaling of things :S
Thoughts on pvp: Would be fun, but no incentives to play it right now, so it's kinda dead

Why do you want to Join Uprising? Playing a coop game as a group can only make it way more fun. I'm also a very generous person and like helping others, more so when in a team
Who can vouch for you to join Uprising? Guess I would have to make a name for myself on here, but a lot of old warcraft 3 buddies could vouch for me I guess :S

What is your online gaming history?: I've been gaming online since 2001 (I was poor and couldn't afford the internet until then! :P). My history includes Diablo, Starcraft, many years of Diablo II, several years of Warcraft III, way too much time playing WoW, Eve Online, and of course, assorted Steam games (L4D 1/2, Assassin's Creed [I'm a top ranked player on multi], etc.).
What guilds have you played with? Various WoW guilds, still part of a mapmaking guild from Warcraft III that's graduated to SC2.

What is your level and character class? Again, respectively: tower app, aura monk, tower squire, trap hunt, DPS/call-to-arms countess, DPS ranger.
What is your gear situation? Aura monk, trap hunt, and both DPS classes have gear with +650 or more in their main stat. DPS ranger has a 90^ CT.
Thoughts on pve: That's what this game is about, right?
Thoughts on pvp: Don't really prefer.

Why do you want to Join Uprising? Because JSP players are generally bros, and I'd like to have a group of players to play competitively with as opposed to crappy pubs.

Depending how well things go and how many interested applicants I get, there will be a core group more focused towards our main goals and a more casual group for those who are interested in a clan community so don't be shy.

For anyone who's curious about the benefits the clan would provide, we would offer some services that are usually paid for, for free to members such as power leveling, holiday costume runs, etc.

Also, you would have the benefit of grouping together with players with a very good understanding and knowledge of the game, highly skilled players.

As a clan, ideally we will help gear our members during our runs. Gear and weapon upgrades that drop in our clan runs will be reserved and distributed to those in need and deserving of it.
