Since it seems like hacked items are making their way back into the trading scene especially recently, I just wanted to give a heads up regarding hackers/people selling hacked items. Selling hacked items is a bannable offense on Trendynet Ranked servers and the Trendynet forums. Also, having hacked items and being caught with them may result in you getting reported and possible ban also, so please be careful when buying on this forum.

Quoted from Trendynet forums:
"Updated Trading Post rules:
- Do not hack items/mana. Period. Failure to follow this will result in a permanent ban!
- Please do not buy or sell known or obviously hacked items. If you feel you have received a hacked item, post in our Report a Player thread with the title, "[ITH] weapon name." Please include a screenshot of the item, along with the seller's Steam username. Remember: It is critical that you include the seller's Steam username in your post.

We are watching. Consider this your only warning."

If you encounter someone in Dungeon Defenders who is selling hacked items or selling for out-of-game items, please post a screenshot of the person, along with his/her Steam username, in Trendynet's Report a Player thread. Name the thread either:

"Selling hacked items: [Steam username]," or

"Selling for USD/selling for OG items: [Steam username]"

Note: It is critical that you include the seller's Steam username.

How can you tell if an item is hacked?
Report said item if it looks too good to be true. Although with the introduction of the new super loots, it makes it harder to determine what's hacked and what's not. But there is still a set number of upgrades armor/weapons/pets can go up to and the same applies to stats.

I browse the Trendynet forums pretty frequently and have a good idea of what the max is on things so if anyone has a question regarding items, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to try to help you.

I have also compiled a list of known hackers/hacked item sellers in my profile (includes definitive proof) for reference.

If anyone has anything to add, please let me know and be sure to include proof. Thank you.

I sincerely agree with this topic, but I'm playing devils advocate at the moment.

-Diablo 2 hacked items were being trade on this forum and it was allowed?
-Selling DD items for OG (for example forum gold) is also a bannable offense

1. Not entirely sure that Diablo 2 duped/non-legit items are allowed. You cannot sell such items as legit though.

2. This applies to many other games here also, not just Dungeon Defenders.

Lets not use this topic to flame people. Just as a reference and a must read before purchasing items.

Agree wholeheartedly.
I do hope it phases out some of the unlegit trading that currently takes place in this subforum.

getting the steam name isnt enough, people should link to the player's profile. Sadly, its easy to change your page url as well...

Do you have proof you bought that bow from him? Because I can't really list it as definitive proof.

Also, robby2x has been called out numerous times for selling hacked items and I have him in my list with definitive proof.
