As the topic stated I'm fairly new to Dungeon defenders. Bought it for PS3 a few days ago. My first character (Apprentice) just hit level 70 but at the moment has a terrible build and far from great gear. Looking for some advice on how to build my apprentice...

- What build is best for apprentice in your opinion and why? (dps/tower/hybrid?)
- Within that build any advice on a stat tree for it? (where to place stats?)
- Also need to get a better grasp on best gear. Unsure exactly what I am supposed to be looking for gear/weapon wise or where to start looking for it? .. also what pet is best for the build?

Ya any general advice you guys can throw at me towards building the apprentice would help.

- Tower Build is the best, because that's what the class is designed for. If you wish to play him as a DPS that is fine too, as long as your freinds can build towers.
- Place 100 into Tower damage/ Tower attack speed/ Tower range. The remaining points go into Tower HP and Casting Rate ( Split 50/50)
-Best Gear? All you need to look for is the Tower Stats, its hard to find the BEST gear, but any gear over 300 tower damage, and 100 tower HP, 100 Tower speed, and 100 Casting rate is decent.
- Get a Giraffe or Guardian.

I'll add a question here, is it safe to let ur items on the ground in the tavern? if so, how many items can you put on there? would help organize my sets a lot xD

aslong as ur tavern is item locked, press E on ur crystal and its at bottom left. wants to be ticked.

items wont ever despawn? I have it locked always

What happen if the game crash... do you loose all the item on the ground? not that safe IMO...

Back to my first note. I was about to restat my points into a tower build but after checking many peoples builds in games I found about 9 with DPS builds, 2 with some form of hybrid build (though they didn't seem well done) and none with a tower build. I'm making a squire at some point today so wondering if I should actually make my app DPS and let my squire take over tower build. Once again I'm also taking this from online games. Seems not matter what game I enter it is almost always defendended with squire defences and then a mix of hunteress and monk defences but I rarely join one that has many if any apprentice towers. Also on another note, the gear everyone seems to use for their DPS builds puts all of its points into hero damage even though they are using an elementalk staff. I remember reading somewhere online that is a stupid idea as it doesnt affect the elemental damage at all. Am I wrong or are they building their dps's correctly?
