Anyone know of the best elemental weapon to use for tower spec builds? I just want a weapon that does a lot of damage inbetween waves with my tower spec toons while I set up my towers the first few waves. Mainly after monk and apprentice weapons since those are the 2 I use the most. Having good tower stats is a bonus as well. So far this is what I have came up with.

Huntress - van wolf (yeah I know it's a dps hero weapon, but I believe it's still the best to use for a tower spec huntress)
Squire - Couteau (high upgrade potential and decent elemental damage)
Apprentice - Weisgram? (seems like it has good amount of upgrades and damage.)
Monk - Geier

If anyone could tell me otherwise that something else would be better, please let me know. I don't know the max damage or upgrade on any of these items either. All I'm going by so far is... http://forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?15785-perfect-drop-compendium

for a squire i would go for a flamewarder/mobile moxie/high five, these seem to be the best choices because of their high attack speed and high elemental damage...

the rest i really wouldnt know (btw couteau is ussualy used for dps squire's by upgrading normal damage on it, not elemental)

I said couteau just because it had high elemental as well and had a lot of upgrade potential. Out of those 3 you listed though, is there an actual "best" or preferred one over the other?

Do people normally upgrade the range on a Nosferatu? Never noticed how many projectiles that thing has. Would be pretty good dps even if you didn't have any points in hero attack it seems.

thanks for the response. I just wasn't sure if that was the traditional way of upgrading it. Trying to save up for a near perfect one now. Haven't tried doing spook on insane in a while.

any of those can go up to 10k elt. damage if you jsut get the right base damage + # of upgrades.
I'd say high five is easiest to farm so i'd go for that one, but any of the 3 do prety much the same thing (which is high Attack Speed)

Moxie is the best balance IMO, for instance mine provides something like 26 tower hp, 5 tower attack and 4 to the other 2 towers stats, and ends up with 8-10k elemental damage. You can find a corteau with decent tower stats, but nowhere near the 30+ from a base moxie.

good point. I forgot the moxie had an insanely high tower stat. You don't happen to know what other weapons are good the app and monk (tower spec) do you?
