VAC gives delayed bans so it can take quite a while before it kicks in, so it's hardly an effective method considering people can just buy like a 4-pack of the game when its on sale and losing like 1 account every month or however long it takes for VAC to kick in would hardly make a difference.

Plus if they really wanted to secure their game they would run it on servers and use something like gameguard or punkbuster. People will never get banned from DD, trust me on this.

People will get banned, but it'll just take forever or they'll just buy more accounts so VAC is pretty much useless to combat hacking.

Nah, VAC cannot scan your local content, its technically illegal. Since hacking in DD doesn't inject data into the servers (which they don't have), they can't ban you.
