I was doing like 100k ish dps with my ranged damage on monk earlier before the patch lol (close up on dummy with all multiple shots hitting), will be interesting to see how much more damage it is after.

Also, I still think they don't know how to balance properly, etc.

That's weird, my VW still does 48k dmg. The dmg on the weapon is noticeably lower, but I don't think they adjusted the multiplier or something. At 588 dmg x 5 shots, that's 2940 x 6 sps That's only 18k dps, though I'm not sure how the hero attack modifies that, but I'm only at 150 hero attack. Somehow their math doesn't add up?

Upcoming Patch! 7.08b (Release Date: Nov 10 2011)
7.08b

* All: Chicken Melee Attack now incorporates Hero Damage as well, and incorporates hero damage at a 20% higher ramp
* All: Sicarius damage buffed by 30% and spread area reduced by 12 degrees (that's actually quite significant )
* All: Grenade Launcher Range now limited in Assault / PvP
* All: End-of-mission statistics UI now draws chat messages over it
* Coop: Fixed bug with swapping heroes with less than 30s on the timer
* Coop: Made Survival Enemy Difficulty Ramp easier (but still harder than it was originally)

* PvP: Electric Aura Damage Reduced, Strength Drain Reduced, and all Aura Life Energy lowered
* PvP: Squire Bloodrage Run Speed increased
* PvP: Invisible Huntresses now can be affected by Auras
* PvP: Hero Damage down, Hero HP up
* PvP: Squire Bloodrage now yields more of a speedboost
* PvP: Fixed some important latency and bandwidth issues for 16 players
* PvP: Heroes clothings now take on the color of their team

but yea they must not do much testing, the spread reductions gonna make it ore van wolfy am i right?
