You can't create screenshots from dd unless it's through steam. It has even been said by the devs from DD.

You can cut + paste parts of screenshots together though. Get a snipping tool, that's how people put together one big screenshots with multiple items all together.

Note that I'm not contributing to the flamming.
If you put DD into windowed mode, you can print screen and paste into paint.

You have got to be the dumbest person I have ever met on the internet.
1. Hit F11 while in-game (default hotkey for windowed screen) or just apply windowed mode.
2. Press print screen on keyboard.
3. Open paint and press Ctrl+V (or hit paste if you don't understand shortcuts).
4. Use paint to edit (crop, cut, blend, etc).
5. Save picture.
6. Upload said picture to a picture hosting website. Ex. imageshack.
7. Find the correct url link that is used to share pictures on forums.

False, Windows Vista / 7 has issues with taking screen shots of non windowed games. The way around this is to hold ALT then Push print screen while the game is windowed ( the command lets you take a screen shot of your currently selected window). You can also take screen shots with steam or fraps when in full screen mode . Then you can manually edit the screens from steam/fraps using Mspaint or any basic paint program.
