Upcoming Patch: 7.11 (ETA: 11/23/2011)
7.11
* All: Upgraded weapons have improved resale value

* PvE: Super-Loot scaling added to all INSANE Challenges

* PvE: Shop gets restocked every 5 waves of Survival/Pure-Strat/Mix that you play, with the latest and greatest stuff.
* PvE: Super-Loot re-added to Pure Strat & Shop, at their own scaling rates
* All: Added Auto-Refire (hold mouse button) For Squire and Monk attacks (both Monk attacks), and Apprentice staffs (hold RMB+LMB to keep auto-refiring, hold just the LMB if you want to Charge).

* All: Hero Info UI stat point application can now be combined with the following modifier buttons: RMB removes a point, Shift with LMB/RMB adds/removes 5 points, and Ctrl with LMB/RMB adds/removes all points to a stat.

* All: Gamepad users can now set an online game name when they Host
* All: Changed Lobby Searches to be Worldwide (still ordered by distance of course). Sorry about that guys, no more region-locking!
* All: Fixed one more case of an erroneous VAC failure.
* All: Added Linear Upgrade Multiplier for Defense Upgrades -- this will linearly buff the Health and Damage of an Upgraded Defense according the following table (percents are each from the base value): 1st Upgrade +20%, 2nd Upgrade +40%, 3rd Upgrade +60%, 4th Upgrade +80%, 5th Upgrade +100%
* All: Chicken Damage buffed by 33%
* All: At the Hero Info UI, added on-screen mouse-keyboard combinations for faster level-up point applications and removal, particularly useful when respecing
* All: Fixed issue with Gamepad Left Trigger not correctly activating the "Invest All" button on the Equipment Info UI
* PvE: Ogre Poison Ball no longer damages Eternia Crystals
* PvE: Moved loot tables to scale several waves earlier (better loot earlier on)
* PvE: Adding Super-Loot back into PS and Shops, ramp values forthcoming...
* PvE: Limited enemy projectile flight-distances to 3000 units, to avoid long-flight stray arrows and projectiles causing game loss
* PvE: Buffed Mix Mode Loot Ramp about 20%
* PvE: Active (non-retired) Heroes boost boost the Damage output of towers they specifically summoned by 33% (indicated via a Hero Face Icon on the tower's floating HUD)
* PvE: Buffed Monk's "Defense Boost" ability Heal-Amount Ramp by 15%
* PvE: Removed the Dark Elf Warriors' 3-second Spawn Immunity
* PvE: Skeletons will no longer target or damage Eternia Crystals
* PvE: Any Hero XP earned is now also automatically applied as Investment in your equipped Pet, though at a 50% conversion rate

Sounds like a good patch imo. Theyre doing better and better improvements.

I wonder how they will handle the item hacking problem though. Just banning everyone is kinda useless. Woudl be better to try to make the hack dont work through VAC or something...

They would need to ban a shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitload of people if they wanted to ban eeveryone using a hacked item. Most ppl dont even bother hacking their stuff over caps n shit, they aint that stupid. How would they tell and how would they act on such a item?

Ofcourse instant banning everyone with "stupid" hacked items is a obvious one but what about the others? I think they care about their customers more than banning everyone, its their first game. I think empty threats is their #1 tactic tbh.

i see some nice improvements here, including the ogre poison ball not hitting eternia crystals, and the lower ranged enemies will help with those pesky archers shooting eternia crystals without being killed from your defense, this is nice.

Hackers will still get caught and banned but it won't be an instant ban, VAC gives delayed bans. As for the bolded statement, tell that to the several hackers trying to sell obviously hacked items. There are still plenty of stupid hackers.

I'm not sure why they still haven't found a way to protect their data from being altered, but since everything is stored client-side that doesn't exactly help. If you see any obviously hacked items, just report it.

True, well we'll see. Usually its getting to the source of the problems that solves it though. They cant run around banning a shitload of people cause then the game might die. Disabling any hacks would be the ideal thing to do and then just make a new item overhaul like they just did with superitems n the new stuff.

That would simply solve it.

Was the patch released on steam already or? I wanna see what dmg my eggy ends up with after the boost. Imo it sucks ass right now, was NOT worth the work getting it. It should have more range and higher attackspeed is what I think. Or higher splash aoe. The dmg is fine though.

There are a lot of people who are legit players and are probably smart enough to not buy suspicious items so I doubt banning a bunch of people would really cause the game to die. If anything, it'll help the game economy.

The 7.11 patch eta is 11/23 so should be sometime tomorrow.

To not buy suspicious items ye, but what about non suspiscious ones?

They can't ban everyone who are wielding hacked items. That would include people who dont even know about it and they paid for the game. I'd say thats probably not even a legal thing to do. Thats why I see alot of problems in this whole thing.

You could basically claim anything to avoid being banned. Unless they are really harsh but then they are just plain stupid cause innocent ppl would get banned then.

I'd say they will perma ban anyone who was cought actually hacking and besides that they will push out alot of harsh threats that will most likeley work. It's not a bad idea but it wont solve the problem at all. They need to work on a solution to disable hacking tools and then just doing the item overhaul again. Thats the only realistic solution imo. But on the other hand after all the money they got already they probably hired someone to look into this. So sooner or later hacks will most likeley be disabled.

Well if an item is within legitimate number range then I doubt any action would be taken. I'm sure eventually they will find a way to better protect their data from being altered, VAC is just a step towards that direction to ban hackers even if it is a delayed ban. I don't think there's that big an epidemic of hackers/hacked items floating around, it just seems like there is because of the number of people here who are known hackers and sell obviously hacked items.

Your right but im mainly thinking of all the random games ive joined where theres a hacker hosting and giving away hacked mana/items. If the ppl who pick it up gets banned without realizing it was hacked stuff it would be pretty horrible.

But again im pretty sure the threats are slightly overraggitated (sorry for my english im from Sweden ;)

If they remove all the ppl who use over-cap-hacked-items then I'm all good.

Doesn't feel good joining survival waves where towers and shit has got like 0,01 sec attack rate and 8k dmg. Ofcourse ur gona make it then ;)

As long as everyone keeps it in the capped item range I'm all good. Atleast UNTIL they can disable the hacks that is.
