Yea, given that polished cpu games cost $50-60, and I've easily gotten the same if not more enjoyment out of this game (I'm easily over 100 hours played), I would not agree with the OP.

Another great title currently in Steam store with huge replay value, making it a VERY economical purchase is Orcs Must Die. Great title. I played thru the game 5 times before putting it down. I did normal game, 5 star normal game, hell mode, 5 star hell mode, then 5 star normal mode only given the towers up to that level.

well, you don't have to buy these updates and it's still a good game

AND these Updates arent that expensive

if you want to play them - you've to buy them - that's life ^^

OP is mad but with decent reason I guess.
They just need to do something about the rampant cheating, they are way too lax on it.

I'm not opposed to the paid updates so far because the total cost of the game is still fairly low compared to the amount of time you can spend playing it.
When the game reaches ~$50 total cost on one account for all the updates combined, then you can start complaining.

For the now the game is still pretty much worth it.

And just a heads up, you can get access to some of the paid DLC without buying it by joining other people's games who do have it. I started out with a basic account with 0 DLC and could still go on Nightmare mode by joining my friend's game who paid for it.
I also have a bunch of the DLC costumes from the holiday maps but I still haven't bought them yet.

I'm just gonna add I think it is fucking bullshit we have to buy the barbarian class. It has been in the fucking game since it launched as a lock char fuck trendy i refused to pay for something that was already in the goddamn game. I dont mind paying for new dlc but not something that should be free.

noone forces you to buy the new DLCs. It's your decision, those who like the game enough, will buy it, the rest won't easy as that. DD is still cheaper than most of the so called F2P games

And talking about having to buy additional content, the Starcraft2 addons won't be exactly as cheap as broodwar was back then. So blizz ain't that much better
