yeah its kind of demoralizing that in each new tier of gear the hackers get everything first

Yeah... I just ran this on open with some help. If these guys selling the 200+ items actually did this without hacked items i would be very very impressed.

That being said, on wave 13/14 - 200 upgrade items drop like candy.

It's funny cause all the kids keeping "hacker lists" and calling other peoples are hacking like fuck, we all know who now don't we?

Fucking cheaters.

I don't mean to imply that anyone hacks. It's possible that they have a strategy/items which allows them to do the new UMF. That being said, consider the following:

1. HP scale means healing aura essentially does nothing now.
2. On open with a 400^ weapon, I ran out of time while kiting
3. With 78k hp max resist huntress under strength aura, still get ~2 shot by mobs.

It's possible that I'm just a horrible player (although I did fine on original UMF).

Ill just say this isnt an action RPG anymore, its more like a tower defense :). currently trying new builds with my crappy gear to try and take down the first wave. See if I could make a small guide or something. People think you need uber gear, I just think you need brains >___>

UMF is a straight dps (and now survivability) test. GL on tower placement.

on my first test, I only lost because I got backdoored by an ogre and had all my attention on building the front. Also, my aura placement was wrong. You are wrong I think, tower DPS is way higher than hero DPS in NM, I'm pretty sure it would be faster to kill everything in the time allowed to do so.

Obviously tower dps is higher than hero dps in nightmare. GL keeping towers up

From what I hear, you have to approach nightmare mode as if you were doing pure strategy. Towers are far superior than hero damage in nightmare. So proper placement of strength drains, good guardians, and fast repairs will help you beat some content.
I have yet to get past round 2 on Uber Lifestream...
