I've found ALOT of mythical gear, and none of it has ever had anything over about 50 upgrades. Also, the stats are weak, in the 40-50 range. Whats the deal with these 200+ upgrade, 80+ stat mythicals? Are they completely random drops, random stats, or is there a place to find better mythicals than insane Glitter and insane Campaign? I'm just very curious, i've been playing for about a week now and can solo insane glitter. Someone let me know...

Try the nightmare difficulty. If you dont have the full eternia shards DLC, you cant host nightmare maps, but you can join someone that can. If those players are not your friends, you are likely to get kicked because most people are elitists online I believe >__>. Better have a good friends list

If you'll notice i said I can solo Nightmare glitterhelm and most of the solo missions. I have the DLC. The question was whether or not mythicals drop with random stats and you're just lucky if you get them very high, or if there is a better level to play to get those high, high stats/upgrades. Do you have any input on that?

The best gear comes from later waves in Survival Mode (wave 20+).
Also I heard Uber Monster Fest gives good drops too but I haven't tried personally.

Regular campaign has crap drops on all maps. Even on nightmare mode / hardcore mode.

By the way you said in the first post INSANE mode, which is why the 2nd poster recommended Nightmare.

yeah >__>. nightmare hardcore is the best way by FAR. Can get some 100 upgrade armors with 100-120 stats from nm hc misty campaign on the last 2 waves i believe. Wave 13+ on mistymire+nm+hc+mixmode can start having drops with crazy stats. found some 140 upgrade armors with 150 base stats starting at that wave. 180 ups at wave 17 with base stats at 200 are possible. Also, I found items with base values as high as 15M before wave 20. You can get sets with over 2k in a single stat before reaching wave 20...for sure, and still have good overall stats also.

excuse me for being a total noob, but how exactly would I play survival mode and what does it entail usually? And can I play on any map or only certain ones? Thanks for the HC NM mode advice, too.

you can play survival on any map on the difficulties you have completed the map on. So for mistymire forest (which is by far teh best map). You need to kill the spider queen on nightmare to unlock surival on that map. From the stats you have, I am fairly sure you have not completed nightmare mistymire yet so I'm going to suggest maps like rampards or endless spires maybe. Alch lab still works and is pretty easy, but the loot doesnt scale as good.

To acces survival, when you select a level, look at the bottom right of the screen (under the difficulty tab) you will have the options there. Select survival, and when that is done, check mixmode for maximum loot drops!

Get ready for the uber grind that are survivals lol.

i thought you had items with 50 ups etc >__>. Its not normal to have those stats with the knowledge you have about the game xD. This is why I think player shops ruin it. I just got my first set to 2k tower dmg today. But I havent bought a single item ever. IMO, its more fun progressing like I do, but I guess some ppl like to power through games xD.

know of anyplace with a good build for that map? The one I use consistently fails and there has to be a reason why, but through many runs of trying to beat it on just normal standard nightmare, i failhard every time. I made it to boss ONE time, then faceplanted. I put 2 harpoons each wing, 2 bouncers each wing, and 2 harpoons crossing each crystal. That maxes my build and the towers defend themselves from spiders. Eventually though, the bombers get through, followed by the ogres, followed by my tears of disappointment.
