Alright so I've been looking for a new game to play for a while, and this one looks pretty good.

Just kind of stuck on if I should buy it for my laptop or xbox one.

Please bare with me through this long post, I'm sure most will TLDR.

First off, I know everyone will say PC, considering the facts. I know...

These are the specs on my laptop.

There not good by any means but it works, I'll go over other things wrong with my computer...

I have a lenovo thinkpad, with an i7 that is about 5 years old.


For the most part, any game I play on my laptop runs just fine performance wise.



Now to get on with the problems...

I currently just started playing league of legends, and I use to play Diablo 3. Along with trying to play CS GO but didn't play it long, as it was my first time ever trying to play a FPS on PC, and I was not good at all.
(Knowing the CS GO community is very competitive and also I didn't take the time to learn how to "sweep" or the recoil patterns)

Normally I play FPS on xbox. (COD and BF1)

Well, when I play League or any game really that requires downloading and higher specs to run... where I rest my left hand on the laptop, after about 30 minutes of playing it gets really really hot and it's almost too hot to touch for more than a few seconds.

With that being after a short time I cannot even rest my hand comfortably to play.

Which yes I can get a external keyboard... which I tried but how my set up is. My tiny laptop screen is too far away and I'm pretty much blind.

Also note I'm playing on a 13" laptop screen.

The last thing, about a year or two ago all the files on my hard-drive got scrambled so to say according to the tech that fixed my laptop.

They said they used the back-up hard drive, but now it just doesn't run good after that happened.

Sometimes it will just randomly shut off and restart on me, which doesn't happen often but once in a blue moon.

My laptop isn't the worst, but it sure is not the best.

I do plan on buying a desktop computer in the next year when I move, but probably will only be able to spend 500 or so on one.

So I have to use my laptop for now...



SO. Should I still buy Overwatch for PC and just play it until I get a desktop.

Or should I buy it for xbox one :/

You wont enjoy luxury graphics on that laptop but i'd still recommend PC over xbox as an xbox player. I'm probably gonna shell out another $40 to rebuy the game because xbox version pales in comparison.

Yeah the gfx card sucks in my laptop.

I had 2 that I use to be able to switch between, but after I had to get it repaired that was gone some how...

And I wondered about the xbox/pc comparison because diablo3 on 360 was garbage imo compared to pc.

Shooters like this play much more comfortably with a mouse and keyboard, and on top of that the community on xbox is mostly 14 year olds. As much as i'd love a new face to play with i'd recommend you steer clear of console versions

higher skill caps in pc version due to mouse aim
you can still use a controller on pc if you really want to suck

your laptop made me lol
got a better processor and more ram than i had in any of my computers
but a complete ass gpu
get a new gpu and you can run whatever uwant

This game has to be played on PC
It's a not even close comparison of how much better it is

I have to... I just downloaded the game, and put settings all on low and minimum.

Graphics are terrribleeee and it lags.

hit me up if you buy xbox one version

we can play together sometime

Just wasted 40 bucks on it... probably won't be buying for xbox anytime soon now lol.

It still runs smooth on minimum specs, the graphics are just horrible due to my card.

I just found TF2 today, so I think I'm going to play that for a bit until I get a new computer or gfx card.
