So I'm buying overwatch in the next day. Any tips to get started and be godly asap? What is the currency? Am I able to buy "gold" with fg to help gear up faster?

1 trick pony with 1 or 2 champs
specifically mei

dont one trick pony anything
learn at least 2 heroes in every role
best to learn everyone


dont get mad at the game
so many people think the game is lost after just 1 round

many times i have seen the payload pushed all the way by both sides
ive also seen the payload pushed like 20 feet for us and then only 12 feet for the enemy.. all while my team is raging non stop that we lost.

You can't buy lootboxes with fg if that's what you're asking

Stop challenging snipers to 1v1s across the map when you're not a sniper

Always play on the payload / point
no matter the hero you're playing

"Gearing up" also does nothing. All looks are simply cosmetic every champ is the same for everyone. Just play casuals and constantly pick new heros until you find a good group you really like and master them

the best advice actually is to be willing to switch. in between rounds, mid round, right after first push, anytime. sometimes its even worth it to switch roles when youre close ish to ult. if youre willing to do this no matter how "well" youre doing its a good start. if more ppl on your team is willing to do this, your chances of winning skyrockets.
