I logged on today and I'm at 1800 points. I dipped down by 150 for 3 losses last night.

If I win, I get like 5 rank points increase. If I lose it's like 20-50 down. Wtf?

It's shit. Something like 40%. I definitely should be moving down based on my win rate, but it's a very very fast decline.

I carry my team so much all the time. I get paired with shit like torb on attack so much it's not even funny. Frustrates the shit out of me.

Regardless though, I still move down like mad fast.

i think you might be losing a lot more because of your win rate as well, still not too sure how the system works but that'd be my guess

Until your win rate hits 50% you will lose more points than you gain, but there are other factors win streaks for example will net you more points while losing streaks will lose you more.

i think since you have a negative win rate the game wants to place you in your mmr faster so you lose more points
thats the reason why if you go on winning streaks you will gain more points so you can get to your mmr faster too

Sucks because I keep dipping as I lose, and my teammates become more clownish as I go down in rank. And then I lose more.

And yet *SOMEHOW* I get matched up against decent teams most of the time.

I played 5 games today. Three of those 5 games I had a torb or bastion on the wrong maps, and/or I have tracer/genji/whatever doing dick all... plus other issues. All the while, opponents had their stuff together.

The teams your playing at low mmr aren't really that much better it just feels that way because they have a better composition or they have a little better teamwork which leads to them snowballing your team. Once they get ult advantage its hard to come back unless you play properly which doesn't happen in low mmr very often and leads to a snowballing effect.

Im not sure- at this point if its better to solo or play with 2- 3 more friends so the chance of meeting an attack torb will be lower xD
