So based on master overwatch plus Jeff Kaplan statement that level 60 was top 6 percent of all players. The current ranking is basically like this.

Grand Master - top 500
Master - top 1 percent
Diamond - top 3-5 percent
Platinum - top 40 percent
Gold - bottom 40 percent
Silver - bottom 60 percent


So basically Plat has way to many different skill ranges in it. Honestly Plat is the current elo hell. Not nearly enough balance between Plat diamond.
