idk why people insist on playing with a group
I haven't played too many rankeds, but my experience so far =
did my placements, all solo, went 4-6, ended up rank 47, played 2 more for rank49
then started playing with a group, and went down to 46
I stopped playing with group, and haven't lost a game since then, I'm 52 now
every solo game, people were picking the right heroes, had clue how to win, stacked ultimates, felt like I'm actually playing with humans and not apes
no ts or any kind of voice communication

maybe it's just too small amount of games, but I don't think there's anything wrong with solo

I'd say you got really lucky with teams tbh

I've had literally the exact opposite experience with solo queuing

just had a game of offensive hanzo, and teammates (lvl250++)got mad at him and pulled out the trump card, offensive symmetra with torbjorn duo
somehow still managed to win tho, so I'm at rank 53 now

i solo queued to rank 77
havent really team queued at all

i still get the offensive symmetra/torj troll picks even at that rating which r always a loss

I think the sweet spot is duo or trio queue, anything more than that is too much
