what rank did you guys start at on placement to go up rank queuing solo? I placed at 45 from maining support (mercy and lucio) and had a lot of losses early on due to leavers, dc'ers ragers. Although I am top 5% of healing, you can't carry the game as a healer in solo if the team can't organize or aim, and although I am a decent player have my gold mercy staff 300+ wins
after making friends with decent players I played with in pubs. It's easy to notice who is good in pubs and who is bad especially as support when you heal everyone and watch the kill feed, people's positioning, who knows how to genji or tracer effectively, a decent reaper, a reinhart that knows how to get the team to push
after 3 weeks of playing ~5 hour day while work full time, I wish i could get out of the elo hell that is the 30s and 40s. Hopefully next season willl have better luck and group for placement and can just move upwards instead of the initial set of series of losses that ruined my rank.
If anyone wants to play with someone that doesn't have a nice rank but is an awesome support with 300+ wins under belt can do all of them including Ana effectively, my tag is crazywolf2#1160, have mic, competitive yet easy going. Am pretty sure solo queue is a breeze after 55+ when people have an understanding of the game, but for people unlucky enough to have fallen
under 50s, you will see attack hanzos that can't aim, widowmakers who never move from their spot, bastions who never switch if countered etc as well as no voice com or strat and trickling in on attack as well as people that overextend and suicide on defense and cause the team to lose the point. At below rank 50s, solo queue is terrible to play unless you can absolutely carry as
a dps with 3-4 golds, even being a great healer at these levels does not guarantee your team a victory at these ranks.
I started off 63 in placement. You can't carry a team as a healer. Even the professionals will say the same. Especially when the teammates are not killing or sticking close to healer. My advice to get out 30's/40's is play some dps or tank or que as a group. Or find a sick ass dps person that has a smurf account. One thing I notice when carrying someone out 40's couple days ago is just turn the mic and headset off and just kill. Since 90% people in that range has no mic. I main mostly offensive characters but I can main lucio too. SO i know how you feel about healing when your rest of teammates are not doing any damage. So not much you can do if you healing.
