Looks like they are doing a good job. If they keep up this rate they may balance.

It's very unlike Blizzard to raise the skillcap on a hero. The widowmaker 'nerf' was like a 60% nerf for most players, and only a 20% or less nerf in overall power for pros.

I think the answer to nerfing Widowmaker is to release a more noob-friendly sniper that has a similar feel to Widowmaker.

Fyi, all of those "useless" heroes get played at the highest levels...
Especially Torb and Hanzo

I think this list is shit aside from the Mercy placement

Wait... who defines S tier as 100% or greater usage? It should be defined as 90%, or 95% or greater usage.

The s tier is there for non 1 hero limit tournaments, this is character selection in pro tournaments from xx date to xx date after the widow mcree nerf, which were all 1 hero limit.



They don't get played as much as others this list reflects that. Og invite torb didn't get played at all in the top 8 I think it was, and Hanzo/widow very sparingly. According to interviews most the pros feel Hanzo isnt consistent enough to be used regularly for tournaments with money on the line.

Torb gets played Numbani almost every game...
Junkrat gets played King's Row like 80% of the games...
Pharah gets played after first point of King's Row like 100% of the time

The list is shit because picks are map dependent and it doesn't calculate based off that at all.

I watch a LOT of top 8

I see a ton of Hanzo by Taimou from Envyus


DVA gets a ton of play on Numbani as well
She's very good at getting the team in on capture points

So because torb gets played on 1 map he shouldn't be bottom tier? Cause the main team that ran double builder isn't running it anymore, cloud 9.

You don't just run double builder...
Picks are map dependent...

The only way for tier lists to mean anything is to have a tier list for each individual map

Because of this, "usage rate" isn't the best way to measure a hero's power if certain maps are currently more popular

Cloud 9 ran symmetry torb 90% of the time on defense until the og tournament where they didn't play it all all unless it was early on. A character thats only good in 1 or a few situations is not as good overall as one that gets used in most situations,its common sense.
