So bought this game 2 days ago, and literally EVERY SINGLE GAME I join I'm lagging my ass off. Mostly just skipping around the map, but today has been worse. Like having someone shoot at me for 5 seconds before they even round the corner worse...

Is that a big issue with this game or is something screwed up on my end? Because it's unplayable how it is at the moment...

E: PC btw, issue is ping & network lag NOT graphics lag (System can run all the newest games at max settings, generally 40ish FPS depending on the game, but have Overwatch turned to low -_- )

what is your fps on overwatch, cause 40 is unplayable from a competitive multiplayer standpoint.

I have it limited @ 60 (most my monitor will show).

Again, FPS or graphics aren't the issue. My ping is showing in-game as 500-1k+ ms and this is the only game I have issues with.

odd but i would post this on blizzard tech support page not here, they can actually help you.

Well considering I'm still not 100% (Not like you've been any help ;) ) on if this is an issue on my end, server-side, or just really shitty matchmaking pairing me with people from china or something... Figured I'd try to figure out what the issue is (If there is one, or if this game is just a lag fest on PC) before I ask for help resolving it ;)

I have 30 to 60 ping 90 percent of the time so it's not the game. I can't really help ya without team viewing u.

Thanks, but not looking for that much help ^_^ Was more wondering if lag was a part of the game/excruciatingly common on the PC side or if there's something up on my side...

Now I know :P Time to manually reconfigure the way OW bypasses my firewall -_- Just got rid of the leaver bonus from lagging out tho so that's a plus...

ive only had a single game where my ping was really bad. are you playing with a wired connection?

Wireless, where the router is and where my computer is there's no way to run a cable unless I do it through the ceiling :P

Did some reconfig tho, manually added Overwatch's ports into my firewall & router and changed a few other settings, seems to be doing a bit better. Still getting lag but it's nowhere near as bad as before (ping is down to ~ 100-150) and every once in a while I'll actually have a lagless game xD

Starting to get used to the lag too, focusing less on where their character is lagging/frozen at and trying to predict where they might be once everything catches up :P Makes certain characters near unplayable but others I can do alright with. Tracer is fun, since my lag + tracers abilities = hard target xD

wireless through the floor is more than likely your problem wireless signals go out to the sides and up they don't do well traveling down, if u cant run a wire look into other solutions like
